RESORstart doesn’t use a fixed set of courses that are repeated each year. Together with the participants, we put together a new program annually, tailored to current practice and to your development needs. The program focuses on what you need in your day-to-day work and is built on three pillars: legal expertise, skills and personal development. You’ll deepen your knowledge of corporate, insolvency and procedural law as it arises in RESOR’s cases. At the same time you’ll sharpen skills working from real-life scenarios. You’ll also work on who you are as a lawyer: how you collaborate, how you set and protect boundaries, and what you find important. This way, you develop a professional style that suits you and fits RESOR’s practice.
RESORstart focusses on your development and gives you room to practise and to ask questions in an accessible, informal setting. You’ll grow into a seasoned professional who can oversee matters, make clear choices and determine strategy. The monthly sessions in RESORstart are led by experienced colleagues and guest speakers from the legal profession and related fields. This gives you insight into the broader playing field in which you operate as a lawyer.
The program is led by Esther Oppedijk van Veen and Tom Booms. If you’d like to know more about RESORstart or discuss what starting at RESOR could look like for you, feel free to get in touch with either of them.
